A memorial service for Robert E. Rasche of Palm Harbor, Fla., will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jerry Statler will officiate.
Rasche, 66, died Friday, July 24, 1998, of an apparent heart attack while vacationing in Newfoundland.
He was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, son of Albert and Gladys Rasche. He and Ruth Kasten were married in December 1951.
Rasche attended Central High School, Southeast Missouri State University, and received a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
He had worked in Long Island, N.Y., and Clearwater, Fla. He moved to Palm Harbor after retiring.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David Rasche of Mishawaka, Ind.; a daughter, Deborah Tripp of Key West, Fla.; his mother, Gladys Taylor of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Peggy Kuehle of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and a stepgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father.
