Robert Penrose

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Robert Alan Penrose, son of Alan Penrose of Chaffee and the late Taryn Ann Vogel, was born Feb. 11, 1979, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 41.

Robert was born with spina bifida which limited him from doing physical things that other kids were active in. He passed away of complications of sepsis, toxic shock and kidney failure. Robert loved to work on bicycles and lamps.

Besides his father, other survivors include two sisters, Maggi and Adrianna Penrose, both of Chaffee; maternal grandmother, Janis Vogel of Oran, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Marceline Fuller of Chaffee; two uncles, Brian (Jennifer) Vogel of Oran and Danny (Yanthi) Penrose of Chaffee; and two aunts, Vicki (Don) Windham of Dexter, Missouri, and Linda Lindy of Chaffee.

Besides his mother, Taryn Ann Vogel, he was preceded in death by a maternal grandfather, Glenn Vogel, and paternal grandfather, Ralph Penrose.

Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Memorial service will then be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Laddie Bridwell officiating.
