CAIRO, Ill. -- Robert Pace Sr., 73, of Cairo died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1998, at his home.
He was born Sept. 11, 1924, in Barlow, Ky., son of Benjamin and Bertha Carnell Pace. He and Rosalie Hastings were married Nov. 28, 1957.
Pace attended Tigert Memorial Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Phyllis Crippen of Tupelo, Miss., Cynthia Shackles of Mounds, Emily Pace of Cairo; two sons, Robert Pace Jr. of Cairo, Bill Pace of Tamms; a brother, Richard Pace of Barlow; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Kelly Cox and Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery near Dongola.
