Robert O. "Bob" Minner, 78, died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 29, 1920, at Morley, son of Robert Otto and Lillie Bynum Minner.
He married Louise Nienstedt on Aug. 6, 1944 at Blodgett. She died July 5, 1998.
He was a 1937 graduate of Blodgett High School and served in the Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1945.
He was a dairy farmer until 1958, after which he sold insurance in Poplar Bluff for a few years into the early 1960s.
He then worked for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis in production control, retiring in 1982.
He belonged to the Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310 A.F. and A.M., and the Southeast Missouri Coachmen Association. He also was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Minner of Booneville and Jim Minner of Blue Eye; two sisters, Myra Propst of Sikeston and Valerie Alsobrook of New Madrid; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 6 o'clock.
Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
