Robert Darrell Norman, 57, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at his home.
He was born Sept. 9, 1947, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ernest Lee and Bruxie Glisson Norman.
Norman was a graduate of Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He was a rating specialist 35 years with the Veterans Administration in St. Petersburg.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the USS Ranger.
Survivors include a son, Jeff Norman of St. Petersburg; his mother of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Beverly Nichols of Lake Worth, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lorimier Cemetery, with Todd Greer officiating.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
