Robert Meyer

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Robert C. Meyer, 90, of Perryville died Saturday, June 16, 2007, at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.

He was born Jan. 24, 1917, in Perry County, Mo., son of Leo and Ida Winkler Meyer. He and Irma Schnurbusch were married June 28, 1947, in Perryville.

Meyer was a carpenter. He was also a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Wayne Meyer, Ron Meyer, David Meyer and Patrick Meyer, all of Perryville; a brother, Eugene Meyer of St. Louis; four sisters, Gertrude Leible of Perryville, Corneal Favier, Rossella Coffee and Marcella Bendal of St. Louis; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, five brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:50 a.m. Tuesday, with a reciting of the rosary at 9 a.m. at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville with funeral arrangements by Miller Family Funeral Home.
