THEBES, Ill. -- Robert Thomas McCain, 76, of Thebes died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 15, 1926, at New Wells, son of Robert and Bertha Hargraves McCain. He married Kathleen McCain, who died June 22, 1992.
McCain owned and operated a pest control business. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Cape Girardeau.
He was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include four sons, Robert McCain of McClure, Ill., Russell Sater of Denver, Colo., Kevin and Kirk McCain of Thebes; three daughters, Linda Cruce and Susan Snelson of Cairo, Ill., Saundra Prater of Thebes; a sister, Sylvia Edwards of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Alfred McCain of Tamms, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son and six brothers.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Pentecostal Church. The Rev. Darrell Faire Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
