MCCLURE, Ill. -- Robert "Willie" Masters, 62, of Gulfport, Miss., died Monday, Feb. 19, 1996, at his home. He was born in McClure, son of E.A. and Julia Masters. He married the former Norma Johnson. Masters retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973, and received a Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Grace Chapel Church, Joppa Shrine Club, North Biloxi Moose Lodge 67, and VFW Post 6731...

MCCLURE, Ill. -- Robert "Willie" Masters, 62, of Gulfport, Miss., died Monday, Feb. 19, 1996, at his home.

He was born in McClure, son of E.A. and Julia Masters. He married the former Norma Johnson.

Masters retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1973, and received a Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam. He was a member of Grace Chapel Church, Joppa Shrine Club, North Biloxi Moose Lodge 67, and VFW Post 6731.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Toni Daekle of Gulfport; a son, Michael Masters of Gulfport; a brother, Glenn Masters of Sikeston; his stepmother, Lucy Masters of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, his parents and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday. A Masonic service will be held at noon. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery with full military honors.
