BLOOMFIELD -- Robert Lawson Johnson Sr., 73, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 1991, at the Bloomfield Nursing Center. BLOOMFIELD -- Robert Lawson Johnson Sr., 73, of Bloomfield, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 1991, at the Bloomfield Nursing Center.

He was born near Bell City on July 26, 1917, to Wilmoth Proffer Johnson and the late Samuel L. Johnson.

He was a retired factory worker and had spent most of his life in Stoddard County. He was married to Leatrice Jackman Johnson, who survives.

Other survivors include his mother of Bloomfield, two sons, Bob Johnson of Bloomfield and Mike Johnson of St. Charles; three daughters, Charlotte Cooper and Nova Pullum of Bloomfield and Debbie Johnson of Dexter; five grandchildren and one great grandchild. One brother and two sisters proceeded him in death.

Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield after 5 p.m. Monday. Service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dallas Reagan of Bloomfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
