ROBERT L. "SONNY" MCCLARY

Robert L. "Sonny" McClary of 2023 Perryville Road, Cape Girardeau, died Monday, March 21, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was 84. Robert L. "Sonny" McClary of 2023 Perryville Road, Cape Girardeau, died Monday, March 21, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was 84.

He was born July 31, 1909, in Belleview, Mo., the son of Robert S. and Laura B. Baker McClary. He married Oneita McDowell on Oct. 6, 1957. She survives of the home.

He is also survived by two brothers, Ed McClary of Jackson and Jim McClary of San Francisco; and one sister, Ruth Rathbun of Brentwood, Mo.

Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1963 from St. Louis. He was a former car dealer in Bismarck, St. Louis and Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson, with the Rev. Harold Henderson officiating. Internment will be at Cook Cemetery in Scopus.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
