BIEHLE, Mo. -- Robert J. "Bob" Kutz, 70, of Biehle, died Nov. 24, 2017, at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville, Missouri.

He was born July 27, 1947, in Biehle, son of Jesse S. and Mary L. (Pingel) Kutz. He and Patricia M. Moll were married June 20, 1970. She survives in Biehle.

Bob was a farmer of agriculture and livestock. He was the owner/operator of Kutz Brothers Painting. He was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, where he served on the parish council, the Biehle Social Club, the Knights of Columbus in Perryville and was a charter member of the Biehle Fire Department.

He belonged to the St. Louis Painters Union Local #1292 and served in the National Guard. He loved baseball, softball and played on too many teams to mention.

Survivors include four daughters, Jill (Rick) Essner of Edwardsville, Illinois, Nicole (Tim) Kusgen of Jefferson City, Missouri, Kara (Steve) Sommerkamp of Wentzville, Missouri, and Roxanne (Travis) Gelven of Columbia; one son, Gregory (Ami) Kutz of Wentzville; two brothers, Dan (Vickie) Kutz of Cape Girardeau and Tom (Sharon) Kutz of Perryville; one sister, Diana (Frank) Tripp of Jackson; and eleven grandchildren: Luke and Jake Essner; Maggie and Ella Kutz; Peyton, Quinn and Addison Kusgen; Carter, Avery and Kade Sommerkamp; and Kennedy Gelven.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant grandson.

Visitation will be held at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 8:30 a.m.

He will then be taken to St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle for Mass at 10 a.m., with Rev. Jim French officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Parkinson Research Fund, Department of Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis.
