BENTON, Mo. -- Robert "Bob" Lee Keen, 78, of Benton died Saturday, July 24, 2004, in a single-car accident on Highway 77 near Diehlstadt, Mo.
He was born Aug. 30, 1925, in Benton, son of Alvin and Clara Marie Menz Keen. He and Shirley Parker were married Sept. 20, 1974.
Keen was self-employed in custodial services in the Kelly School District and with Citizens Bank in Charleston, Mo. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church near Benton and was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving with a construction battalion.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Michelle Heuring of Benton; a brother, Joseph C. Keen of Benton; and three grandchildren.
He was preceeded in death by a sister.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church near Benton.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. at the church, with the Rev. Dennis Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery with the Missouri Military Honor Guard providing graveside rites.
