CHARLESTON -- Robert Heironimus, 81, of Elsberry died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 1996, at Lincoln County Hospital in Troy.
He was born Oct. 25, 1914, in Vincennes, Ind., son of William Robert and Ida Wilson Heironimus. He and Nellie Hornbarger were married April 22, 1939.
Heironimus was formerly of Charleston and had worked at Farmer and Goodin Ford Tractor Co. He also worked at C&S Tractor Co. in Sikeston, retiring in 1980. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Charleston, had served as a deacon and usher since 1953, and was ordained deacon emeritus in 1992.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Heironimus of Victoria, Miss., James Heironimus of St. Charles; a daughter, Phyllis Halley of Elsberry; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother and five sisters.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Charleston, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
