Robert Harris, 72, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center. He was born Aug. 31, 1947, in San Pedro, California, son of William and Beth Harris. Robert was a general contractor and member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3775, CFI Million-Mile Safe Driver and Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy for eight years and in the U.S. Army for seven years...

Robert Harris, 72, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 31, 1947, in San Pedro, California, son of William and Beth Harris.

Robert was a general contractor and member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3775, CFI Million-Mile Safe Driver and Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy for eight years and in the U.S. Army for seven years.

He is survived by his ex-wife and caregiver, Linda Harris; sons, William Harris of California and Mike Frantzen of Des Moines, Iowa; stepson, Kevin Taber of Wentzville, Missouri; daughters, Sara Harris of California and Maristia Gonzales of the Philippines; sister, Sandy Marsh of Coos Bay, Oregon; grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and best friend, Lee Reid of Texas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Liley Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
