Robert Leon "Bob" Hahs, 65, of Oak Ridge, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at his home.
He was born July 27, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, to Delbert Leon and Betty L. Fronabarger Hahs. He and Loeta Jones were married Nov. 27, 1976, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
Bob was a 1971 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked at Jackson Excavation, and for 30 years at Cape Girardeau County Highway Department, retiring in 2015.
Bob was a member of New Salem Methodist Church in Daisy, Coon Hunters Club in Daisy and a 35-year member of Jackson Elks Lodge and. He was an avid coon hunter and enjoyed playing in poker tournaments.
Loving survivors include his wife of nearly 42 years, Loeta Hahs of Oak Ridge; a son, Burt (Cynthia) Hahs of Daisy; a daughter, Linden Hahs of Oak Ridge; his mother, Betty (the late Leon) Hahs of Oak Ridge; and three siblings, Darrell (Janet) Hahs of Friedheim, Sharon (the late Leonard) Bogenpohl and Charlotte (Larry) Ludwig of Woodson, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Hahs; and a brother-in-law, Leonard Bogenpohl.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at New Salem Methodist Church in Daisy.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Steve Koerner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
