SIKESTON -- Robert H. "Jake" Weaks, 81, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 1995, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 8, 1914, at New Madrid, son of Robert Lee and Maggie Hawes Weaks. He and Marie L. Dickerman were married Dec. 24, 1935, at Charleston.

Weaks was a farmer at the Matthews Estate for more than 40 years. He had also worked for the Missouri Department of Agriculture in Jefferson City and for the Mid-Continent Chemical Co. in Sikeston before retiring in 1990.

He was a member of the Shriner's Moolah Temple in St. Louis, the Sikeston Masonic Lodge 310, the Scottish Rite, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3319 and the Sikeston Elks Lodge 2319. He also was an original member of the SEMO Shrine Mounted Horse Patrol in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary P. Weaks of Atlanta; a daughter, Trudye Blackard of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Lillian Acord of Sikeston; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
