ANNA, Ill. -- Robert Guy Wolfe, 77, formerly of Cobden, Ill., died Saturday, April 27, 1996, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
He was born Feb. 3, 1919, at Cobden, son of Guy F. and Carrie I. Clutts Wolfe. He and Helen Kendall were married. She died. He then married Elva E. Hale on Jan. 2, 1956. She died Jan. 10, 1985.
Wolfe was a member of the Jonesboro Pentecostal Church and was a World War II veteran.
Survivors include a son, Robert Wolfe of Cobden; a daughter, Angela Thorn of Anna; four stepdaughters, Yvonne Wagner of Cape Girardeau, June Guthrie of Grand Chain, Ill., Ellen Dickerson of Harrisburg, Ill., and Vivian Guthrie of Jonesboro, Ill.; three stepsons, Lendall Guthrie of Omaha, Neb., Kendall Guthrie of Louisiana and Charles Guthrie of Minot, N.D.; four sisters, Evelyn Ingram, Lucille Sanders and Lillian Anderson, all of Cobden, and Vivian Ellis of Granite City, Ill.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendelman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Doug Cornett will officiate. Burial will be in the Alto Pass, Ill., Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be given by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
