ST. MARY, Mo. -- Robert L. French, 74, of St. Mary died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Jan. 20, 1931, at Perryville, Mo., son of William and Rose Tucker French. ST. MARY, Mo. -- Robert L. French, 74, of St. Mary died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 20, 1931, at Perryville, Mo., son of William and Rose Tucker French.

He had worked for Empire Gas Co., served in the National Guard and was a member of the Country Music Association of St. Mary.

Survivors include four daughters, Diane Lane of Cape Girardeau, Jean French, Janelle French and Katherine French, all of Perryville,; two sons, Danny French and Jim French, both of Perryville; a sister, Zita Gibbar of Perryville; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Visitation will continue at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William Thess officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
