OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Robert F. Sams, 71, of Olive Branch died Friday, Nov. 21, 1997, at Sikeston Health Care in Sikeston.

He was born March 13, 1926, at Olive Branch, son of William Franklin and Josephine Henderson Sams.

He married Reba Christian on Dec. 24, 1951. She died on Oct. 12, 1997.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie Alexander of Anniston and Rita Blankenship of Barlow, Ky.; three sisters, Maye Bradshaw of Olive Branch, Ethel Miller of Carbondale and Gladys Johnson of Washington; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today and on Sunday until time of service at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Billy Don Heady will officiate, with burial in Mount Zion Cemetery near Olive Branch.
