CAIRO, Ill. -- Robert E. Deckard, 83, of Cairo, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1991, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Deckard owned and operated Deckard's Radio and TV Service for a number of years in Cairo until he retired in 1977.

He was a member of the Cairo Baptist Church and Cairo Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Deckard, of Cairo.

Other survivors include daughters, Bettie Hahn of Evansville, Phyllis Huey of Mt. Vernon, Ind., and Bobbie Jourdan of Evansville; a brother, Joe Deckard of Bishop, Calif; sister, Irene Rinehart of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Crain Funeral Home of Cairo.
