Robert B. Dubrey Jr., 65, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Sept. 27, 1932, in Cudahy, Wis., son of Robert B. and Grace O'Dell Dubrey Sr. He and Peggy Mueller were married Oct. 22, 1966, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Dubrey had been a truck driver for Delta Asphalt, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and VFW Post 3838.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received the Combat Infantry Badge, Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Campaign Stars, United Nations Service Medal, and Japan Occupation Medal.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert Dubrey III of San Gabriel, Calif., Daniel and Patrick Dubrey of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Melinda Roth of Altenburg, Beth Reimann of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Grace Dolan of Racine, Wis.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum, with military rites by VFW Post 3838.
