THEBES, Ill. -- Robert Glenn Dare, 72, of Rosiclare died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion.
He was born April 27, 1926, at Sikeston, Mo., son of Earl and Lillie Fairless Dare. He married the former Nellie Davis.
Dare was a retired truck driver. He was a member of VFW and American Legion in Wood River, and Eagles in Alton.
Survivors include five sons, Ryland Dare of Stephen, Ark., Randall Dare of Tulsa, Okla., Robert Dare of Wood River, Matthew Dare of Jonesboro, Andrew Dare of Rosiclare; a daughter, Diane Woolverton of Golconda; a sister, Opal Noakes of St. Charles, Mo.; 25 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cox Funeral Home in Rosiclare from 6-9 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Harold Miller officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
