ANNA, Ill. -- Robert Dean Clutts, 73, of Anna, died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion, Ill.
He was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Alto Pass, Ill., son of Leonard D. and Gussie L. Hardin Clutts Sr. He married Crystal L. Craig on Jan. 7, 1951, in North Vernon, Ind.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army, a life member of the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Anna, a 50-year member of the I.U.O.E. Local 318 and a member of the Anna Masonic Lodge 520 AF & AM. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Pam Land of Anna; a stepson, Johnny Butters of Clay City, Ind.; a sister, Dr. Sandra Bilinsky of Springfield, Ill.; a brother, Leonard Clutts Jr. of Mount Vernon, Ill.; a grandson; a stepgranddaughter; and a great-stepgranddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today and Tuesday until the funeral hour at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Carl Land Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Anna Cemetery, with military honors by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW.
