He was born Feb. 12, 1945, in Belgique, Missouri, to Harvey and Anna Pearson Cissell. Bob was married to Mary Jane Buchheit Cissell on Nov. 28, 1970. She survives in Perryville.

Bob worked construction in St. Louis and later started his own business. He always loved farming. He worked with his close friend, Phil Bueckman, at Bueckman Farms for many years. He fulfilled a lifelong dream of buying a farm and always was ready to take anyone along to see the cattle and all the great things he had been working on there.

Bob's pride and joy was his family, including his two sons and two daughters, Angie (Mike) Prost, John (Jennifer) Cissell and Derek (Jennifer) Cissell, all of Perryville, and Jennifer (J.P.) Metcalf of Essex, Missouri; and his eight grandchildren, Carissa (Ryan) Orr, Colin Prost, Dustin and Joshua Hoehn, Jake Sauer and Isabel, Sadie and Drake Cissell. Other survivors include three sisters, Joan (Tom) Brewer and Mae Schnurbusch of St. Louis and Kay (Gary) Thieret of Perryville.
