Robert Brumett Sr.

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Robert Lee Brumett Sr., 63, of Advance died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 25, 1941, in Tullahoma, Tenn., son of Harry and Mary Medley Brumett. He and Evelyn Kay Pate were married Jan. 30, 1986, at Wickliffe, Ky.

Brumett retired as a deckhand with May Marine Co. in Clinton, Ky.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert Brumett Jr. of state of Kentucky; two stepsons, Andrew Pullam of Charleston, S.C., Alfred Pullam of East Alton, Ill.; three brothers, Paul, Don and Jerry Brumett of Cincinnati, Ohio; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter and two brothers.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. today.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. Curtis True will officiate.
