Robert Breuer Sr.

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Robert L. Breuer Sr., 83, of Altenburg died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 20, 1928, in St. Louis, son of Robert Louis and Ruth O. Osborne Breuer. He and Virginia Harrison were married Feb. 14, 1948.

Breuer was a warehouse manager with Western Auto 23 years. He was a life member of VFW and former member of the Lions Club in Bridgeton, Mo.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Gerrity of Richardson, Texas, Jacqueline Burns of Mariposa, Calif.; a sister, Shirley Gray of Kenosha, Wis.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Louis Breuer Jr.; and a sister, Jeanne Stanley.

There is no service.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo., provided the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
