ROBERT ANDERSON

JACKSON -- Graveside service for Robert E. Anderson of Jackson was held Monday at Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Bill Ellis officiated.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson was in charge of arrangements.

Anderson, 77, died Friday, Aug. 15, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Oct. 4, 1919, at Neelys Landing, son of Elliott and Ruth Castille Anderson. He and Marjorie McGinnis were married Dec. 27, 1945, at Lemay. She died Oct. 9, 1988.

Anderson worked many years at Jackson Hosiery Mill. He served in the Central Pacific during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Robert Anderson of Houston, Texas; a sister, Roberta Petty of Dallas, Texas; and a granddaughter.
