Robbie Allene Schmitt, 89, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Caruthersville, Mo., to J.G. and Lois M. Orton Buchanan. She and Harold Matthew Schmitt were married Dec. 15, 1946, at Caruthersville. Robbie Allene Schmitt, 89, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Tulsa.

She was born Sept. 20, 1923, in Caruthersville, Mo., to J.G. and Lois M. Orton Buchanan. She and Harold Matthew Schmitt were married Dec. 15, 1946, at Caruthersville. He passed away April 18, 2010.

Robbie was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Chapel in Cape Girardeau, the Ladies Guild and PEO. She had worked part time at Harold Meyr Accounting in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn (Steve) Fritzler of Cape Girardeau, Karen (John) LaFont of Brookport, Ill., and Jane (Ed) Mysock of Tulsa; a son, Harold M. "Hal" (Vicki) Schmitt II of Bowling Green, Ky.; a sister, Ann Smith of Paducah, Ky.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, a sister and a brother.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd Chapel.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Good Shepherd, with the Rev. Barry L. Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Francis Hospice in Tulsa.
