Rita M. Glueck, 74, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, April 25, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born on Feb. 3, 1922, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Edward and Clotilda Seib Wulfers. She married Orville J. Glueck on May 7, 1958, and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1993.
Glueck worked as a claims assistant for the local Social Security Administration. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women, St. Vincent DePaul and Cape County Democratic Women. She did volunteer work with the St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, FISH, Notre Dame High School and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Kay Glueck and Sally Ann Balsmann of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Jim Wulfers, Al Wulfers, Carl Wulfers and Greg Wulfers, all of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Agnes "Ag" Latimer of Kansas City; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son and one sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
