CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Rita Mae Friga, 76, of Chaffee died Monday, March 1, 2010, at the family home.
She was born Dec. 26, 1933, at Messler, Mo., daughter of Louie Jesse and Florence Elizabeth Lewis Bollinger. She and Alfred Friga were married Sept. 27, 1952.
Rita was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, Mo., and St. Ann's Sodality.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Friga; four sons, Paul (Pattie) Friga, David (Cathy) Friga, Mark Friga, all of Chaffee, Robert (Rita) Friga of Enid, Miss.; a daughter, Laura (David) Westrich of New Hamburg, Mo.; three brothers, Jim Bollinger of Sikeston, Mo., Benny Bollinger of Cape Girardeau, Buster Bollinger of Oran; two sisters, Shirley Wilson of Greenville, Mo., Frances Eftink of Springfield, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, three sisters and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 p.m. and then Knights of Columbus prayer service.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
