Riely R. Barnhart, 72, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.
He was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Granite City, Ill., to John and Mary Vesta Burnette Barnhart. He and Gloria Barnhart were married in April 2008 in Cape Girardeau.
Riely was a member of Construction 338 Labor Union and Assembly of God Church. He was a guitar player who enjoyed both teaching and playing every chance he got on the weekends.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Barnhart of Cape Girardeau; five daughters, Debra Handley of Cape Girardeau, Carla McClennan of Bethalto, Ill., Cathy Brendal of Maryville, Ill., Anita Thomas and Rita Barnhart of Bethalto; two brothers, Clarence "Butch" Barnhart of Russell, Ark., Ervin Barnhart of Arlington, Texas; a sister, Glenda Hulvey of Marble Hill, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral Home, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas and James Gramlich officiating. Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery at Glenallen, Mo.
