Richard Lee "Ricky" Wright, 42, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 1, 2000, in a boating incident in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 27, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, son of Gary J. and Carolyn Young Wright.
Wright was employed by Skip Gamel Construction. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include four sons, Joshua Wright of Davenport, Iowa, Cody Wright of Dexter, Mo., Adam Rebelskey of Iowa City, Iowa, Kevin Wright of Cape Girardeau; his mother of Benton, Mo.; two brothers, Alan and Cleo Wright of Commerce, Mo.; two sisters, Vicki Carroll of Scott City, Mo., Saundra Blankenship of Benton; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by an infant son and his father.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Oakdale Cemetery near Commerce. The Rev. David Thompson will officiate.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
