Ricky Dale Reed, 71, formerly of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at his home in Jackson.
He was born Sept. 20, 1951, in Blytheville to Jack and Lois Marie Poff Reed. He and Nina Fay Woodall were married Oct. 1, 1983, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They had been married 33 years when Nina passed away Oct. 31, 2016.
Ricky was a graduate of Blytheville High School. He was an avid sports fan, always following the St. Louis Cardinals, the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Jackson Indians.
Loving survivors include two siblings, Pam Hughes of Blytheville and Gary (Anna) Reed of McKinzie, Tennessee; stepchildren, Lisa (Kevin) Scott of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Roger Montgomery of Fort Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, a grandson that he and Nina raised, Mitchell Reed Montgomery of San Antonio (son of the late Karen Montgomery), Mandi Kay (Wade) Shapp and Cody Dale Montgomery; and a longtime friend, Michael Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a stepdaughter, Karen Montgomery; and a sister, Cathey Reams.
The Rev. Don Estes will conduct a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Arrangements are by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
