DONGOLA, Ill. -- Memorial service for Richard W. Rochel of Dongola will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. The Rev. Paul Sadler will officiate.
Friends may call at the funeral home at 5 p.m.
Rochel, 69, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at his home.
He was born June 10, 1929, in Chicago, son of Walter and Hazel Milosh Rochel. He married Elizabeth Syncavitch, who died in 1969. He later married Dorothy Hoffman, who died in 1991.
Rochel was an automobile mechanic 30 years at a Cadillac dealership in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a daughter, Diane Churillo of Dongola; a son, Richard Rochel of Oak Lawn; a stepdaughter, Linda Kelley of Chicago; three stepsons, Kevin, Daniel and Gary Kelley of Chicago; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
