Richard Paul

MALDEN, Mo. -- Richard Leon Paul, 74, of Malden died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at his home.

He was born April 27, 1934, at Malden, son of Vondes Verell and Opal Elena Thompson Paul. He and Lois Jean Albright were married Dec. 18, 1952, in Piggott, Ark.

Paul was retired from Four County Farm Center. He attended Stokelan Drive Christian Church.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Tony Paul of New Hamburg, Mo., Scott Paul of Independence, Ky., Rodney Paul of El Paso, Ark.; a sister, Linda Shuler of LaHabra, Calif.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Dan Hargrave officiating

Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, with military honors to be conducted.
