Graveside service for Richard A. Overfield of Hemet, Calif., will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Cape County Memorial Park. The Rev. Kenneth Roberts will officiate.

Overfield, 38, died Sunday, March 17, 1996, in a Hemet hospital.

He was born Aug. 11, 1957, at Chaffee, son of Edward R. and Katherine F. Ancell Overfield.

Overfield was a 1975 graduate of Scott City High School. He served six years in the U.S. Navy as a lab technician at Balboa Naval Hospital.

He was an organ donor.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick and Eric Overfield of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; his mother, Kathrine Smith of Chaffee; a brother, Kenneth Overfield of San Jacinto, Calif.; a half sister, Jonell Overfield of Chaffee; maternal grandparents, Bill and Grace Ancell of Holts Summit; two stepbrothers, Jimmy Smith of Palmdale, Calif., Doug Overfield of Chaffee; two stepsisters, Cheri Newberry and Gail Reichert of Grants Pass, Ore.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather.
