Richard Nenninger, 63, of Burfordville passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at his daughter's home in Sedgewickville, Missouri, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was born Sept. 6, 1953, in Cape Girardeau to Marvin and Opal Dawson Nenninger. He and Judi Kintner were married Aug. 4, 1990, at Cape Girardeau.
Richard was a truck driver most of his adult life. He was a volunteer fireman in Gordonville for 15 years. He loved to deer hunt, and was very successful as he distributed lots of antlers to family and friends over the years. Richard was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 3775. He played Santa Claus at the special-needs Christmas parties, and was chairman of the Christmas-basket committee. He also was active with Knights of Columbus.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson.
Survivors include his wife, Judi Nenninger, of Burfordville; two daughters, Kerensa Anne-Marie Inskip of Rolla, Missouri, and Tania Jolene Brugger of Sedgewickville; four brothers, Jerry Nenninger of Oregon, Johnny Nenninger of St. Louis, Joe Nenninger of Fruitland and Tim Nenninger of Charleston, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Sue Emmons of Cape Girardeau and Judi Lawrence of Perryville, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Skyler Nenninger, Landon Brugger, Evan Inskip and Samantha Inskip.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Nenninger.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson. Eagles' service will begin at 6 p.m., followed by parish prayers and Knights of Columbus service with the rosary.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception in Jackson, with the Rev. John Harth officiating. Interment will be private at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
