BENTON, Mo. -- Richard R. Morrow, 74, of Benton died Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 19, 1936, in Red Bay, Ala., to the late Richard H. and Mattie Pearl Strickland Morrow.
Morrow lived in Scott County most of his life, was baptized at New Savannah Baptist Church in Blodgett, Mo., and was a member of Old Bethel Baptist Church in Sikeston, Mo.
He had worked at Atlas Plastics and later at Schnucks until his retirement.
He and Connie Sue New were married Feb. 19, 1965.
Survivors include his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Teresa Morrow of Batesville, Ark., Paul and Tammy Morrow of Benton, Tim and Tammy Morrow of Sikeston, Mo.; seven grandchildren, Ryan and Alan Michael Morrow of Batesville, Kyle and Cody Morrow of Benton, Destinee Hendershott, Cierra and Mikayla Morrow, all of Sikeston.
Also five brothers, Grover Morrow of Diehlstadt, Mo., Mike, Danny and Roger Morrow, all of Wappapello, Mo., Ottis Morrow of Benton; five sisters, Debbie Hornback of Sikeston, Bonnie Romanowski of Dexter, Mo., Theresa Jones of Morley, Mo., Ritta Belt and Donna Sevic of Sikeston.
In addition to his parents; a son, Jonathan H. Morrow; and a brother, Garland Morrow, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Steve Vester, pastor of Old Bethel Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in IOOF Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim New, Gary Hendrix, Mike Vanhouten, Tim Arnold, Scott Lambert and Eric Lambert.
