CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Richard Lee McGuire, 70, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to the late Charles and Wilma Littlepage McGuire. He was united in marriage to LaWanna "Jean" Nordin on Dec. 8, 2015. She survives of the home.
Rick was a retired master welder. He was a former member of the Auxiliary Police of Chaffee. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jean, of Chaffee; stepsons, Jesse Brown and Michael Brown, both of Chaffee; daughters, Michelle Broyles and Shelly Skaarup, both of Chaffee, and Holly Hall of Scott City; stepdaughters, Christy Mott of Scott City and Jeanna Sanders of Jackson; brother, Mark McGuire of Chaffee; sister, Paula McGuire of Perryville, Missouri; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie McGuire.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Burial, with full military honors, will be at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
