Richard McGill

SILVERHILL, Ala. -- Richard Lee McGill, 77, born in Missouri and a resident of Silverhill passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at a local hospital.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. He was also an active member of Fairhope Christian Church.

Mr. McGill is survived by his wife, Corliss McGill of Silverhill; two daughters, Valerie (Gibby) Thomson of London and Jennifer McGill (Bruce) Burchfield of Fairhope, Ala.; one son, Dick McGill of Fairhope; two sisters, Barbara Davis of Daphne, Ala., and Patsy Booth of Bolivar, Mo.; and six grandchildren, Fiona, Jay, Brittany, Julie, Stuart and Greg.

Graveside services and interment were held Tuesday at Silverhill Cemetery, with Rev. Danny Barfield officiating.
