JACKSON -- A memorial service for Richard C. Marshall of Jackson will be held at 10 a.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Marysville, Ohio.
Marshall, 59, died Thursday, Sept. 9, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 19, 1939, in Marysville, son of Fred Walter and Beulah Gordon Marshall. He and Carol J. Lawson were married Nov. 13, 1974, at Fredericktown.
Marshall was a foreman 10 years at Erlbacher Gear and Machine Works. He was a member of Union Local 185 in Sacramento, Calif., and member of First Baptist Church in Fredericktown.
He moved to Jackson in 1989 from Galt, Calif.
Survivors include his wife; seven sons, Thomas Horn of Whitewater, Richard Marshall of Cape Girardeau, Matthew and Christopher Marshall of Marysville, Wash., Jason Marshall of Sacramento, Jonathan and Erik Marshall of Jackson.
Also surviving are three daughters, Christina Horn of Angels Camp, Calif., Teresa Strohmeyer of Chaffee, Michaela Smith of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Robert, Jim and Terry Marshall of Marysville, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
