Richard Lashmet

Richard Eugene "Richie" Lashmet, 35, of Scott City died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009, in Scott City.

He was born Aug. 13, 1974, in Cape Girardeau, to James Fred and Violet Marie Parmer Lashmet.

Lashmet had worked as a cashier at Schnucks. He graduated from Scott City High School in 1993 and from Southeast Missouri State University in 2007. He was a member of the Amateur Pool Association.

Survivors include his parents, James and Violet Lashmet of Scott City; maternal grandmother and stepgrandfather, Violet and Wesley Ward of Qulin, Mo.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jack Owens officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
