Richard F. Lange, 90, of Jackson passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

The seventh of 11 children, Richard was born June 6, 1927, in Tilsit to Ferdinand and Alma Loos Lange. He and Fern O. Crader were married Jan. 15, 1947, in Arkansas.

Richard attended the former Immanuel Lutheran Grade School in Tilsit. He was a lifelong farmer, farming in Tilsit and south of Jackson on Highway 25.

He also owned and operated the former Oliver Tractor dealership and the former Lange Trucking Co., both in Jackson.

He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson and a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Fern Lange of Jackson; a son, Gary (Katie) Lange of Cape Girardeau; two stepgrandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren, Tracy Adams of Cape Girardeau and Kaylee and Taylor Sweat of Jackson; and three siblings, Melva Mirly, Adela Moore and Walter Lange, all of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by five adult siblings, Thekla Kuntze, Hilda Hauenschild, Elda Loenneke, Hulda James and Elfrieda Lange, and two young siblings, Thelma Lange and Ritor Lange.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. There will be no ceremony.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Saxony Lutheran High School.
