Richard J. Comeau II, 43, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, March 31, 2001, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 27, 1957, in Sikeston, Mo., son of Dr. Richard A. and Corinne Comeau. He and Jane Ann Evers were married Dec. 31, 1990, in Cape Girardeau.
He graduated from Dexter High School in 1976 and from Southeast Missouri State University in 1983 with a degree in computer science. He started the Buzzwords Computer Company, designing computer programs for sale. Later, he started Programming by Design, which worked with businesses to develop software for their specific needs. He also started Digital Labs Studio, where he designed electronic devices and had several patents in the music industry and also operated a music recording studio.
He was program tester for Microsoft for 15 years and wrote a column named "Hi-Tech Corner" for the Southeast Missourian.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dexter, Mo.
Survivors include his mother, his wife and one son, Richard Daniel Comeau III of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Ford & Sons Funeral Home on Mount Auburn Road.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Hal Greene officiating. Burial will be in Cape Girardeau County Memorial Park Cemetary.
