KELSO, Mo. -- Richard Anthony Hinkebein, 81, of Kelso died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 15, 1936, in Cape Girardeau to Theodore Martin and Olivia Francis Glastetter Hinkebein. He and JoAnn Theresia Heisserer married Nov. 22, 1956, in Kelso.
He was a union carpenter instructor at Mingo Job Corps for 34 years for the United Brotherhood and Joiners of America.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, the Men's Sodality and Knights of Columbus Council 1111 in Cape Girardeau.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Richard J. "Rick" (Teri) Hinkebein of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Darrin A. Hinkebein of Kelso; four grandchildren, Amanda, Chris, Cameron and Lance; a great-grandchild, Ella; and a brother, Willard (Vivian) Hinkebein of Scott City.
He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin M. Hinkebein, July 5, 1980, and five brothers.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Joe Weidenbenner as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Kelso.
