JACKSON -- Richard Howard Tice, 69, of Jackson, died Monday, Nov. 20, 1995, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 8, 1926, in Clementon, N.J., son of George H. and Emma Hessling Tice. His wife Uldine died July 20, 1995.
Tice was a tool and die maker with the U.S. Government 15 years, and helped manufacture parts for the Apollo space missions. He was a grain inspector for the state of Missouri five years, had been a greeter at Wal-Mart and a host at Delmonico's. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
He moved to Jackson in 1983 from Chula Vista, Calif.
Survivors include four daughters, Shelba Branscum and Shirley Mackenroth of Jackson, Sherrie Duncan of Hayward, Calif., Sara McDonald of Pennbrook, Wis.; a brother and four sisters in New Jersey, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Hamilton will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park, with graveside rites by Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post in Jackson.
Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to service time.
