GLENNON, Mo. -- Richard G. Ganey, 85, of New Market, Ala., died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Ala.
He was born March 28, 1917, in Florida, son of Walter and Ruby Croft Ganey. He married Berenice Thele.
Ganey was formerly of the Glennon area. He operated Bell Brothers Shoe Store in Columbia, Mo., more than 30 years.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Ganey of Memphis, Tenn., Dennis Ganey of Huntsville; two brothers, Walter Ganey of Anaheim, Calif., Harry Ganey of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery near Advance, Mo.
