RICHARD FARRAR

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Richard A. Farrar, 64, of Imperial, Mo., died Sunday, June 17, 2001, in the Emergency Room at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

He was born April 8, 1937, in Perry County, Mo., son of Valle Marvin and Mary Theresa Farrar. He and Agnes L. Hotop were married Sept. 26, 1964.

Farrar retired as a warehouseman with S.N. Long Warehouse/ Lanter Delivery, where he worked 45 years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Imperial.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Cindy Johnson and Carrie Long of House Springs, Mo., Connie Gibbar of Imperial, Cathy Robbs of Lesterville, Mo.; two brothers, Lloyd Farrar of Perryville, Donnie Farrar of Ames, Iowa; five sisters, Geraldine Leible and Verna Weisbrod of Brazeau, Mo., Evelyn Sherrill of Frohna, Mo., Ivalene Rhyne of Crosstown, Mo., Jewell Collins of Perryville; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and a sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 3-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:15 a.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at 7 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle, Mo. The Revs. Mike Murphy and Mark Bozada will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
