Richard D. Gould, 83, of 2825 Bloomfield died Friday, Dec. 25, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 13, 1915, at Schenectady, N.Y., son of Louis Ammon and Bessie Draime Gould.
He was a building products salesman. He worked at John's Manville for 42 years before retiring in 1978.
He graduated from Syracuse University. For 40 years, he volunteered in the Eagle Scout Association. He was a 32nd degree Shriner.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy in the Pacific.
He married Elizabeth Adams on June 21, 1946, at White Plains, N.Y. She died on Jan. 25, 1988.
Survivors include three sons, Dave Gould of Dallas, Texas, and Tim and Jeff Gould, both of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Robert F. Gould of Guilford, Conn.; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Friedens Chapel in St. Louis.
