FORSYTH, Mo. -- Cecil Richard Clubb, 72, of Forsyth passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019, at his home.

He was born Dec. 24, 1946, in Cape Girardeau to Cecil M. and Mary Salena "Lena" Withers Clubb. On April 7, 1998, he was united in marriage to Eunice Glee Collins.

Richard was drafted into U.S. Army in 1966. While serving in Vietnam, he was wounded in action and returned home. Richard was the recipient of two Purple Hearts for his injuries during his tour of duty and, as one friend stated, a very humble American hero.

After his duty to his country, Richard obtained his teaching degree from Austin Peay University in Clarksville, Tennessee. He returned to Missouri and started his teaching career. He taught at Marquand and Chaffee and finished his career at Greenville High School. Richard also farmed and raised cattle until he retired from the farm in 2009.
